On October 9th, the Portuguese Ceramics Exhibition "Porcelain Affection" opened at the Guangdong New Shiwan Art Museum in Chancheng District, Foshan, which served as a communication bridge between Foshan and other countries in the world.

The exhibition, organized by the Foshan Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, and Foshan Municipal Bureau of Foreign Affairs, displayed a total of about 40 Portuguese ceramic works inspired by Chinese porcelain. It not only presents the common porcelains in the family life of local Portuguese residents, but also reflects the far-reaching influence of Chinese ceramics on ceramics of all countries in the world.

The collections on display in this exhibition are all from Portugal's Consul General Andrea Cordero in Guangzhou. There are porcelains presented in the image of vegetables, fruits and animals, as well as gorgeously designed and exquisite porcelains with diverse styles. At the opening ceremony, Andre said, "The richness of Portuguese ceramics is attributed to its multi-functional usage and the Portuguese pursuit of exquisite aesthetic value. In my opinion, this also benefited from the introduction of Chinese porcelain, which means that in addition to the commonality of craftsmanship, our common values are also involved."

In the 16th century, Portuguese navigators opened the "Era of Great Navigation", which allowed Chinese porcelain to go global, and at the same time strengthened the exchange between Chinese culture and world culture. With the bond of porcelain, China has established a profound friendship with other countries in the world. Portuguese porcelain is an important presentation of the exchange between Chinese culture and world culture.
